Benefits of Back Country Living

Shopping

Our general store is a mile away in Sunshine Summit. Just 30-minutes away is the bustling city of Temecula, where nearly every retail store you can imagine exists. About 30 miles in the other direction visit the historic town of Julian. There is a semi-monthly flea market at the historic Oak Grove Community Center and a Farmer’s Market is held every weekend in Santa Ysabel. And you will definitely want to check out Old Town Temecula, where dozens of restaurants, antique shops, entertainment venues and more can be found.

Hiking

From the internationally renowned Pacific Crest Trail, to the inspiring Eagle Rock and immense Palomar Mountain, there are more places to explore within the greater Warner Springs community than most native San Diegans even know about. Come explore and see for yourself!

Active and Engaged

This might be a 55+ community, but we stay busy.  There are several committees filled with volunteers who work together with our Board to make this amazing place safe, beautiful, and sustainable.  There’s something for everyone.  Choose your passion and join a committee.  If you have an idea for a new one, drop it in the suggestion box.

Our Social Committee sets up events for things like:

We have cooking, arts and crafts classes, line-dancing classes, potlucks, nature presentations, board game days and so much more.  There’s always something going on at the clubhouse!
